When I realised that the key to getting rid of belly fat didn’t lie in spot reduction because it was almost impossible to isolate a certain area to lose weight from.

What worked for me was to lose weight over all of my body. Doing simple exercises such as walking and encouraging body fat loss over all my body saw the my belly shrink.
Doing gentle exercise around that area such as mini tummy crunches using repetition and short, sharp movements helped to tone and lift the area around the abdominals, although the lower abs are a hard area to isolate and target what I found happened was that the more I focussed on this area the surrounding muscles strengthened and finally my lower abdomen followed suit.
