It’s very simple. Your body has been programmed by thousands of years of years of evolution. You can’t fight it. Water was scarce for thousands of years. For people to survive, their bodies needed to retain water inside of them to get them through droughts and lack of water.
Today, you unknowingly are demonstrating to your body that water is scarce. How? By not drinking enough of it. Drink more water and your body gets the picture. It’ll flush out all the retained water. In most cases this is somewhere in the neighborhood of 3-8 pounds of water weight.
So simply put, drink more water until the point where your urine is clear or slightly yellow. That’s an indicator that you’re drinking plenty.
2. How to stop drinking sodas and juices
I have to tell you. Drinking sodas and juices is no good. The high fructose corn syrup in them is worse than sugar. Diet sodas… puhleaze… aspartame in them is just plain evil and stimulates your hunger. NO-NO.
So how do you get away from these?
This is how I did. I started drinking water with 2 packets of Stevia in it. Stevia is a natural sugar substitute. It’s actually good for you. It helps sweeten up the water to give you some taste. After all, that’s pretty much what you’re craving from sodas and juices… the taste.
With the money you save from not buying sodas and juices, you can use it to buy Stevia. Go to a health food store. You can usually get 100 packets for about $10. Get healthier, lose weight, feel better about yourself since you’re DOING THE RIGHT THING. You’re getting rid of empty calories.
